School Background: After a re-classification two years ago, Lynden High School, grades 9-12, have been moved to the Washington State 2A bracket.  They will continue to compete at just as high of a level, and expect to be a dominating force.  This year the team made another trip back to the Tacoma Dome and they hope to be just as successful in the years to come.

State Classification: After a state-wide reclassification of all schools, Lynden is now in the 2A league.  This may help the lions become more successful, yet all teams are trying to go the distance.  No one is sure what will happen this season with the new classifications.

All Time History: The stats below have been compiled since 1945. The Lions have compiled some outstanding years of football in recent years to maintain a level of excellence set by teams from generations ago.  Next years team will be Lynden's 63rd team.  They will try be the 6th Lion team to make it to the Dome in the past 8 years.

2008 Outlook:  2007 was another fantastic year for a Lynden football program that has made the state semifinals five out of the last seven seasons.  In 2008, the Lions return seven talented starters on the defensive side of the ball and will look to reload offensively.  Lynden will return only three offensive starters for next year's squad, but the talent displayed by the underclassmen this year may be a sign of good things to come for the Lions.  Look for the Lions to have another winning season in 2008 as they should be carried by an extremely talented defense.
